Gaza International Documentary Film Festival is the first festival of its kind in Gaza Strip . It will talk about the documentary film that focuses on the Palestinian Issue , whether it is local or global film .

The festival will lunch from the heart of Gaza City on 15-11-2009 in an attempt to break down the siege which imposed on it since 3 years and convince the world that nothing will stand in front of the Palestinian Steadfast people.

The festival will have a jury of internationally experts who have experience in festivals .

We would like to invite film makers , director and producers from all over the world to introduce their films and compete among them in this festival to encourage the film industry that interested in the Palestinian cause .

The Objectives of the Festival :

1-     To encourage the film industry which interested on the Palestinian cause .

2-     To defy the blockade that imposed on Gaza Strip since three years .

3-     To create the communication links between the Palestinian and International film makers .

4-     To attract the international media into (towards) Gaza Land .

5-     To refresh the activates of Jerusalem the Capital of Arab Culture .

The Program of the Festival :

1-     Opening Ceremony of the festival on  15-11-2009 .

2-     Screening the participated films during the days of the festival .

3-     Workshop and seminar during the festival .

4-     Closing Ceremony and awards on 18-11-2009 .
